There is no real evidence that points to oils or even creams being able to prevent stretch marks
Though there is no real evidence that points to oils or even creams being able to prevent stretch marks from forming, there are still a few such products that may contain collagen containing properties such as Tretinoin which claim that they can make significant improvements in eliminating red stretch marks. So, it is still questionable whether such collagen containing creams can actually penetrate deep enough into the layers of the skin to repair the minute tears there. Using laser treatment when the stretch marks in their early stage and are thus red in color may be a good option though even this method has yet to be fully proven as being effective enough.
